Government grants
Some lenders will also offer unsecured loans to farming businesses to purchase specific equipment. Where farmers have received a government grant towards a piece of equipment, they must then purchase it out right using their own funds, rather than on a finance agreement.
We recently had an example of this where a customer received a government grant to purchase a Sheep Handling System.
